Sprout Society

Program Overview

The Sprout Society is a year-round initiative serving children ages 5-11 in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club and Communities in Schools. Using hands-on activities, guided practices, and evidence-based strategies, children learn emotional regulation, coping skills, and resilience while building healthy habits that support long-term well-being.

What Participants Will Experience

  • Mind-Body Wellness Activities – Yoga, mindfulness, and movement games to strengthen focus, self-control, and stress management.

  • Emotional Regulation Skills – Age-appropriate lessons in identifying feelings, calming strategies, and positive self-talk.

  • Confidence & Social Skills Building – Role-playing, group games, and storytelling to promote self-expression and peer connection.

  • Family Engagement Workshops – Quarterly nurse practitioner-led sessions and parent resources to strengthen home support.

  • Celebration & Reflection – End-of-season showcases where children share what they’ve learned through art, performance, or presentations.

Program Highlights

  • Evidence-Based Foundations: Informed by child-centered CBT and resilience-building practices.

  • Professional Guidance: Led by trained facilitators and supported by community health professionals.

  • Holistic Approach: Blends mental, emotional, and physical wellness activities for well-rounded growth.

  • Family Integration: Actively engages parents/caregivers to reinforce skills at home.

  • Community Connection: Strengthens ties between children, families, and trusted local organizations.

Outcomes We Expect

Children leave the program with stronger coping skills, improved confidence, healthier daily habits, and the foundation of resilience needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally — setting the stage for lifelong wellness.
