Shakirra Pinnock, QMHP, CSAC-S is a behavioral health professional with over a decade of
frontline experience in mental health and substance use treatment. Her work is driven by a
simple conviction: outcomes should not depend on access—equity must be built into the
system.
After years of clinical and community-based work at the James Bentley Treatment Program and
in clinical care at Behavioral Health Group in Newport News, Shakirra saw firsthand how
fragmented systems delay care until crisis. That experience shaped her long-term vision to build
a community-anchored wellness ecosystem—that integrates prevention, intervention, and
treatment across the continuum of care.
Today, she is intentionally building cross-sector teams and strategic partnerships with
clinicians, educators, community leaders, and service organizations to scale impact beyond any
single program. This vision is realized through:
•@kirrasjourney (CEO’s personal IG), a wellness, fitness, and lifestyle platform
focused on discipline, movement, nutrition, mental health literacy, and routine.
•Ollivier Community Circle (OCC), a 501(c)(3) advancing health equity in underserved
Virginia communities through food access, culturally responsive mental health education,
and holistic wellness, and
•Kirra Counseling & Co., a clinical provider delivering licensed treatment services.
Together, her work builds durable infrastructure for wellness—meeting people before crisis,
supporting them through disruption, and providing treatment when it’s needed most.
